Volunteer Spotlight October 2024

Every month, the Citrus County Library System features a volunteer in their “Outside the Stacks” blog on their website. This month, the Homosassa Library would like to shine the spotlight on Marjorie. We asked Marjorie several questions and thought it would be fun to share her responses!

Marjorie

Q: Why did you start volunteering?

A: I was retired. I am a librarian. So, volunteering at the library seemed the perfect answer. I knew I wanted to volunteer to take up some of my newly found free time.

Q: Who is my favorite author?

A: I don’t believe I can pick a single one out. I love; Dick Francis, Tony Hillerman, James Michener, Agatha Christie, Charles Dickens, and on and on…

Thank you, Marjorie, for dedicating your time to the Homosassa Library! We truly appreciate all of our volunteers and are glad to spotlight one of the many special people that help to keep our branch running smoothly.

Citrus Libraries is always looking for more volunteers to help in our branches! If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer at the library, call your local branch and speak with the Customer Service Specialist.
