Come to the Libraries to relax and unwind with adult coloring. We’ll provide coloring sheets and coloring materials, or feel free to bring your own.. Improve your wellness, motor skills, and creativity with adult coloring.
Get creative with a directed crafting session. Make anything from decorations, art, cards, jewelry, and more. Use our provided materials and have fun crafting. Then bring home an awesome creation that you make yourself!

Books & Babies is a special Storytime for children, ages 0 to 30 months and their caregivers. Enjoy engaging experiences with stories, songs, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and movement activities that help children build critical language and literacy skills.

Learn about the history behind one of our nation’s greatest symbols, make patriotic crafts and do activities courtesy of the Daughters of the American Resolution (DAR).
Topics requiring hands-on interaction with computers are taught in a traditional instructor led classroom format. In these classes, students are able to follow along with the instructor on our library computers which are located in our computer labs at the Central Ridge and Homosassa libraries.
Learn about the history of the Constitution, and how this document stands as a testament to the tenacity of Americans throughout history to maintain their liberties, freedoms and inalienable rights.
You’re invited to come to the Homosassa Library each year for the Citrus County Comics & Cosplay Convention! Show off your costuming skills with workshops and contests, attend panels on geeky subjects, and get photos with guests. There’s vendors with geeky items for sale, crafts and activities throughout the Library, and raffle prizes!

▌Dungeons and Dragons at the Library
Create your own character and work together to overcome obstacles and defeat monsters. There is no need to purchase books or dice to participate. Bring your adventure skills and let’s get rolling.

The entire month of October is dedicated to thanking our Friends for all that they do in supporting the Citrus County Library System. Come to the Library to get information on how to become a Friend and information on the book sales that they host throughout the year.
In December, celebrate the history of Floral City during Heritage days. Tour historic Floral City homes, and see the residents in 1800’s attire. Children can create festive crafts and adults can create a centerpiece decoration at the Floral City Library.
▌Floral City Strawberry Festival
Join us each year in March for the Floral City Strawberry Festival! We have activities, library card applications, goodies and more! Stroll through our StoryWalk, an interactive reading walk.
You’ll find us in at the end of March at the Florida Manatee Festival! Come say hello to Library Staff and do fun activities. Get Library goodies and enjoy a fun stroll through our Manatee Festival themed interactive StoryWalk!

Tweens and teens are invited to challenge themselves and others while playing video games using the Nintendo Switch. Board games are also provided and beginners are always welcome! Available at the Coastal Region Branch.

Join us on the first Thursday of each month for the Homosassa Page Turners Bring Your Own Book (BYOB) Club. Looking for new book recommendations? Everyone reads a different book and then comes ready to share their opinion and thoughts about their selected titles. Bring a book or a few!
▌¡Pequeños Cuentos! Bilingual Storytime in Spanish & English
Whether you speak Spanish or English, or both, this storytime is for you. Come to the library and enjoy stories and songs in two/dos languages, celebrating Latin culture. ¡Ven y únete a nosotros en la biblioteca!

Join us on the last Wednesday of each month for the Ridge Readers Book Club. Read the monthly selection and join an open discussion and hear new recommendations from other book lovers.

▌Scientific Education Training and Support (SETS) Programs
Explore with the SETS Foundation! Study real fossils, learn about meteorites and space! Even dinosaurs, ancient Florida animals and history, workshops, and more!
Learn to sew at the library! We’ll teach you the basics of using a sewing machine and make a fun project at the same time.
Learn how to sew as you make creative projects. Learn both hand and machine sewing techniques during Sew Creative workshops.
Join us at the Lakes Region Library each month for educational fun by exploring different STEM topics. These programs for children foster a love for STEM by building, creating, and exploring at the Library
Each summer, from May to the end of July, the Libraries host a Summer Reading Program for all ages. Each week enjoy programs catered around a central theme. Track your reading progress and enjoy incentives for reading throughout the summer! Find out more on the Summer Reading page.

Tales on Wheels bring the stories to you! TOW volunteers travel to preschools and child care centers and present a story time program to children at those locations.
Tech Talks are our lecture style classes that are used when a topic involves providing information more than showing examples. Our Tech Talks cover a wide range of subjects from Alternatives to Cable to smartphone classes where students can learn on their own device. Our Tech Talks are taught at each of our branches.
