Write a Novel this November!
Have you ever dreamed of writing a novel? There’s no time like the present, and there’s no place like the library! November is National Novel Writing Month, abbreviated NaNoWriMo. Aspiring novelists around the world aspire to write 50,000 words in one month. Whether you’re hoping to hit this goal or simply get the motivation to start your novel, the Coastal Region Library will be hosting NaNoWriMo events to get you started!
On November 2nd at 2:30 P.M., join published author Dylan Newton for a NaNoWriMo Writers Workshop! Dylan is a NaNoWriMo alum, and will be leading participants in a writing workshop which will equip aspiring authors for the month (and years!) of writing ahead.
If you’re looking for a space to join with other writers and get words on the page, join us for a NaNoWriMo Write-In at 1:00 P.M. on November 3rd! A NaNoWriMo tradition, Write-Ins are events created for writers to hunker down, participate in word count challenges, and connect with fellow authors. Coffee will be provided—just bring a laptop or notepad and your work-in-progress!
Library programs are free and open to the public.
