One of Florida’s Best Kept Secrets

Florida’s scenic trails are an instant draw for those visiting our county and those that have spent their entire lives here. Their beauty is undeniable, but what about their history? How were they established? Who was the first one to forge into the Florida wilderness? Join Marcie Clutter from the Florida Trail Association at the Central Ridge Library on Monday, November 14 starting at 10:30 AM for these answers and more. Discover the history behind Florida’s 1,400-mile hiking trail which stretches from Big Cypress Preserve to Gulf Islands National Seashore. Join Marcie as she discusses the incredible vision of one man whose dream for a long hiking trail in Florida became a reality.
