Learn how to reduce food waste at the library!

Did you know that an estimated one-third of all food produced in the US goes to waste? A report by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) found that the number of calories wasted in the US each year could fully feed 150,000,000 people.

On Monday, July 29 at 1:00 PM at the Coastal Region Library, join UF-IFAS and Citrus Solid Waste Management to learn how to keep food out of landfills! At “Divert Food from Waste,” participants will learn about what they can do to reduce food waste and recycle. Let’s take a step together to better the world around us!

Library programs are free and open to the public. To learn more about this program, visit our online calendar at attend.citruslibraries.org/events or call the Coastal Region Branch at (352) 795-3716. To stay in the know about upcoming programs and events, follow @CitrusLibraries on Facebook and Instagram.
