Citrus Libraries: Special Guest Spotlight
It’s going to be a busy month at Citrus Libraries, and we’re kicking it off with three special guests at three different locations! Stop by one or all of the programs to experience the excitement that our special guest speakers will bring.
On Monday, March 7 at 10:30 AM, local author Max Schulman will be coming to the Floral City branch to discuss his “Treasures of the Trails – Citrus County Trilogy.” In the trilogy, Max and graphic artist / lead photographer/ cartographer Tom Craig have created detailed guides to the natural resources of our county. During the presentation, Max will be discussing the series, its impact on our county and current issues in the local “trails community.”
Then, on Friday, March 11 at 2:30 PM, local photographer Gary Kuhl will be giving an Art Talk at the Lakes Region branch in Inverness. Gary’s presentation will focus on a few of his thoughts on how to get good nature and wildlife photos. Some of the topics covered will be choosing your camera, cropping images, and simple tweaks to improve quality. If you’ve ever attended a Gary Kuhl presentation, this should go on your “don’t miss” list!
Finally, on Saturday, March 12 at 1:30 PM, the Homosassa will be hosting one of their monthly History Hour presentation. This month the topic of focus is the Army Air Force in World War II. Matt Leonhart will be expanding on the role of Army Air Forces School of Applied Tactics in Florida, details about aircrafts used and more in this one-hour program, with a Q&A time to follow.
