Celebrate Local Authors at the Coastal Region Library!

Citrus County is home to many talented and passionate local authors, and the Citrus County Library System loves to give their work a spotlight! Throughout the month of March, the Coastal Region Library in Crystal River will be hosting events to promote the work of local authors.

Join author and speaker Frank J. DiMaio on Friday, March 8 at 1:00 PM to hear his honest and engaging story as told in A Promise Made, A Promise Kept and The Best Ships. As part of a promise to his late wife, Frank embarked on a harrowing solo sail to Bermuda. The skills which helped him to prepare and survive for his difficult journey were cultivated during his experience as a caregiver for his wife. In this presentation, Frank will share how these tools enabled him to undertake his sail and fulfill his promise to his wife. Signed copies of Frank’s book will be available for purchase.

On Tuesday, March 26 at 1:00 P.M., paranormal researcher Maxim Furek will take participants on a meticulously researched trek through the history of UFOlogy in Flying Saucer Esoteric: Altered States of Ufology. Maxim’s work reaches into the very ancient past and stretches into the present as he chronicles the narratives of abductees, space explorers, and hoaxers who have sounded out on UFOs. Maxim’s previous work, Coal Region Hoodoo, has been featured in a number of paranormal outlets, including the Australian podcast Mysterious Universe. Signed copies of Maxim’s book will be available for purchase.
