Art Journaling: How to Create a Vision Book

Journaling is a fantastic way to practice mindfulness and keep track of your personal goals. However, writing isn’t always the most exciting or expressive activity in the world. What if you could combine artistic techniques to fully express and stay motivated for those 2024 resolutions?

You can join Bridget Hanley from the Rainbow Springs Art Gallery in Dunnellon to learn all about it! Bridget will be at the Central Ridge Library in Beverly Hills on Saturday, February 17th at 10:00 AM to demonstrate all the things you can use when creating your unique journal.

Students are encouraged to bring a wire bound sketch book 8×10 or 11×14. Simple clipboards and drawing paper will be provided for those that cannot bring one. Students will use a mix of collage, drawing, painting, and scrapbook techniques. Bring a few favorite photographs, poems, song lyrics, or quotes. Bridget will have several subject prompts to start you on the unlimited ways to express yourself and manifest your visions!

Library programs are free and open to the public, but this program does require prior registration. For more information about this program, please visit our online calendar at attend.citruslibraries.org/events or call the Central Ridge Library at (352) 746-6622. To stay in the know about upcoming programs and events, and new services and resources available to the public, you can visit citruslibraries.org or follow @CitrusLibraries on Facebook and Instagram.
