Test Proctoring Policy
View the Test Proctoring Policy for the Citrus County Library System. Adopted by Citrus County BOCC on 7/26/2022.
Policy 08
Test Proctoring
The Citrus County Library System promotes and supports library users who are pursuing educational opportunities via free test proctoring. Exams are administered by appointment only, and applications for proctoring must be submitted at least one week in advance. The Citrus County Library System will proctor exams for patrons upon request and availability of personnel, facilities, and technology.
There is no fee for this service; however, the library will not incur any costs for administering or returning exams.
The library agrees to provide a reasonable time and space for the test-taker to take the exam, but the test-taker and the examining institution should be mindful that the library is a public building and cannot guarantee complete quiet or privacy.
The library cannot provide continuous supervision but will check on the test-taker intermittently.
The library is not responsible for exams that are interrupted or delayed by library emergencies, power failure, inclement weather, and/or computer hardware or software failures.
The library is not responsible for any exam once it leaves the library’s possession.
Policy 08 – Issued: 9/11/2008, Revised: 5/23/2022, BOCC Adopted: 7/26/2022
